My ramblings..

I had a dream about my great-grandfather recently.  He passed away almost 5 years ago and I still miss him terribly.

We talked in my dream although now I honestly couldn’t recall what we said.

I woke up content and I didn’t miss him quite as much, it was amazing.

I’m also losing serious interest in the internet in general.  Uh oh.

I was just reading an article on yahoo about what job recruiters look for.

….what?  I cut all of my meat all at once, what’s wrong with that?  What could a job interviewer possibly learn about me from how I cut my meat?  I do it so I can enjoy my meal at once instead of having to stop and cut in between each bite…so that means I’m not worthy of a job?

Some also apparently send someone out to inspect cars (ie trash inside, maintenance, etc).  Mine is clean inside but it has several dents, all from before I purchased it.

I don’t know, this article seems kind of unfair but whatever, if a person feels like I’m not the right person for their company because of the way I eat or what my car looks like, they most likely aren’t really a company I’d want to work for anyway.  I’d rather work for someone who cares more about dedication, work ethic, and skills.

Is it just me or did Shakira out-whore herself?  I didn’t think that was possible but apparently I was wrong.

Least favorite singer ever.  The new video disgusts me, kind of looks like a pathetic attempt to draw a fan base (male) again but…I can name like 50 female artists who are immensely better than her.

ANYWAY, I have to take classes at “Subway University” now.  It’s like, 30 minute training videos?  And then I have to answer questions at the end.  My first one is Monday.  The good thing about this is more money will be coming my way when I complete the training which is much needed.  Mandatory meeting is Sunday night too.  I missed the last one but heard that most of the people who work there were furious that I was going to put in charge of them.  Wait til they hear what’s coming up.  Not entirely sure I want to be there or not because this time I’ll be there to hear their complaints about me but I have no choice.  But seriously, do they think 16 year olds can run a store?  Obviously.

Wow, sometimes music really depresses me in a way that isn’t what you’re probably thinking.

My all time favorite band in the ENTIRE universe was/is Something Corporate.  When Andrew McMahon got diagnosed with cancer they went on a temporary hold.  Prior to that he had started a little side project called Jack’s Mannequin.  I saw SoCo in concert three times and they literallly blew me away (once they played with Yellowcard before they sold out!!).  After his chemo and stuff was over, Andrew shifted to Jack’s Mannequin and I guess SoCo broke up (noooooooo).  I’ve seen Jack’s Mannequin in concert several times also and they are seriously amazing but nothing like my SoCo.  This isn’t what depresses me.

JM is MUCH bigger than SoCo ever was.  I was watching a video on youtube today and I nearly cried when I read the comment to a SoCo video “Wow, these guys kind of sound like Jack’s Mannequin.  The lead singer even kind of looks like Andrew from Jack’s.”

……..how can you be a fan of a band without knowing it’s history?  Like, a serious fan of the band?  All you have to do is google Andrew’s name and you’ll find out anything you need to know.  Makes me realize once again how much I hate the youth of this country, but then again, that was probably once thought of my generation as well….

Um, there is a good chance that I might have forgotten this existed.
